MISSION_STATEMENT
Hello!
Thank you for visiting Team Colin Rodgers.com. I have created this website in an effort to generate support for my Olympic dream, and to raise awareness of cross country ski racing in the United States. Ever since I was young, I have had the hope of competing at the world's highest level in the sport of cross country skiing. Thus far, it has been a wonderful journey with ski racing taking me around the globe! Now with the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games only a few short months away I am close to reaching my goal!
However, I am currently an athlete on the bubble. This means that I have a solid shot at making the U.S. Olympic Team, but I am nowhere near a definite. These last few months of preparation are crucial to my future success as an athlete. Over the years numerous family, friends, mentors, coaches and role models have helped me get to where I am today. In fact, every year as I advance to a newer and higher level of competitive skiing I grow more dependent on those around me. Although I am doing the competing, I am not able to progress without the assistance of others.
In light of this reality I have started this website in an effort to grow my team. The larger the support base the more momentum can be built! In order to join, it takes very little—every contribution, no matter how small, will help me to reach my goal. Please browse the following pages and read my blog. Come join me in success!
